Cancellation & Refund Policy
We want every OpenClass experience to be great. Here's exactly how cancellations and refunds work — no surprises.
Student Cancellations
7 or More Days Before Class
Full refund. No questions asked. Cancel anytime up to 7 days before your class and receive a complete refund to your original payment method.
3–6 Days Before Class
50% refund. You'll receive half your payment back. This helps compensate teachers who have planned for your attendance.
Less Than 48 Hours Before Class
No refund. Cancellations within 48 hours of the class are non-refundable. Teachers have prepared and reserved space for you at this point.
How to Cancel
To cancel your registration, email us at openclassfun@gmail.com with your name, the class name, and your reason for cancelling. Refunds are processed within 5-10 business days back to your original payment method.
Teacher Cancellations
Teacher Cancels — Always Full Refund
If a teacher cancels a class for any reason, all registered students receive a full refund automatically. No exceptions. Students will be notified immediately by email.
Teacher Cancellation Policy
Teachers are expected to honor their class commitments. Repeated cancellations may result in removal from the OpenClass platform. If you need to cancel a class, please contact us immediately at openclassfun@gmail.com so we can notify students promptly.
Multi-Week Courses
For multi-week courses paid upfront, the same cancellation schedule applies based on the start date of the first session:
- Cancel 7+ days before the first session → full refund
- Cancel 3-6 days before the first session → 50% refund
- Cancel less than 48 hours before the first session → no refund
- Once a course has begun, no refunds are issued for remaining sessions
Payment Processing Note
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. Refunds are issued to your original payment method and typically appear within 5-10 business days depending on your bank. OpenClass absorbs payment processing fees on all refunds — you will always receive the full refund amount you are entitled to.
